Overall role

To carry out various tasks within the shop including cashiering, stacking, cleaning and providing customers with efficient, friendly and professional service.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Greet customers with a warm and friendly approach, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the shop.

2. Assist customers in locating products and provide accurate information.

3. Maintain a well-organised and tidy shop appearance, ensuring shelves are stocked, and products are displayed attractively.

4. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.

5. Offer support to customers in carrying and loading their purchases, as needed.

6. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory checks.

7. Monitor product expiration dates and assist with rotating stock to minimize wastage.

8. Assist in receiving and unpacking merchandise deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality.

9. Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.

10. Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment, assisting colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.

• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.

• Fluency in English and preferably Maltese.
