The product manager has end-to-end responsibility of the assigned category maintaining and enhancing margins, understanding the trends, opportunities and behaviours of shoppers, to marketing, enhancing product selection by delivering the right products to the end-consumer. The Product Manager will manage and coordinate related projects such as new selection and delisting of products, new and established instore layouts and positioning, activation and promotions, among others.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Market and shopper behavioural insights via market visits.
2. Sustaining and developing average margin by item group within the department.
3. Take decisions plan and supervise all assortments and products via web portal and delisting of products within the respective departments to drive further revenue and profitability by analysing performance.
4. Positioning and placement planning and building planograms of all products of the respective departments in new and established stores.
5. Liaises with operations to ensure appropriate implementation of all planograms.
6. Make any necessary changes in product categorisation.
7. Coordinate the development of communication tools with other PMs, the Marketing Team, Operations and other stakeholders accordingly so to ensure the smooth development of all projects and initiatives.
8. Select products to be placed on promotions and coordinate with Marketing and Operations, the activity and promotion scheduled, activation in-store via ‘bancarelle’ and promo shelves and ensure stock availability in shops.
9. Any other tasks delegated by the CCO according to company’s needs.
